Effortlessly Clean Grease and Oil Stains off Your Belts
Keeping your clothing accessories looking spotless can be a challenge, especially when it comes to belts. Things You'll Need
- Gentle soap or detergent (dishwashing liquid is a good option)
- White vinegar
- Soft cloth or sponge
Instructions
- Mix one part white vinegar with two parts lukewarm water in a bowl.
- Dampen the sponge or cloth with the solution and gently scrub belt. Work the solution into the stain until it's gone.
- If the stain is more difficult to get out, add some gentle soap or detergent to the mixture and rub it on the belt.
- Once the stains are removed, rinse the belt off with cold water and pat dry with a soft towel.
Tips for Success
- Be sure to avoid scrubbing too hard, as it could damage the belt.
- For an extra level of protection, condition the belt with a leather cleaner or oil afterwards.
- It's a good idea to clean your belts whenever they become stained, before they have a chance to set in.
