Accidents happen and occasional spilled gravy is no exception—especially when it comes to watches. While the metal or plastic of the watch may be easy to clean off if you act fast, the same isn’t true for the delicate fabric band. Gravy stain removal is slightly more involved.
Start by dabbing the affected area with soap and warm water. Make sure not to rub the stain as it may spread. With a cloth or tissue, gently blot the stain until it starts to lift.
The watch itself should not come into contact with liquid as it may damage internal mechanism of watch. Stick strictly to band when cleaning. If you’re using a cloth or tissue make sure to use a dry one or change it out after each dab.
After the gravy stains have been removed, rinse the watchband in warm water and allow to air dry. Do not machine wash the fabric as it could shrink or warp the shape of the band.
