Dried on gravy stains can be a tricky stain to remove from any fabric, let alone suede. Luckily, there are a few simple steps you can take with some common household items to effectively clean up the mess.

Step 1: Scrape Off Excess

Using a dull knife or spoon, carefully scrape off any excess gravy that has not yet dried. Be gentle to avoid scuffing the suede. Make sure to remove as much of the excess gravy as possible without damaging material.

Step 2: Blot Stain

Take a dry cloth or paper towel and blot the affected area, soaking up as much of the remaining gravy as possible. Continue blotting until the stain is no longer visible. Do not rub the area as this can further embed the stain into the suede.

Step 3: Use a Suede Cleaner

Purchase a cleaning product specifically made for suede, and apply a small amount directly to stained area. Work the product into the suede gently in small circular motions. Once the cleaning solution has been worked into the material, allow it to sit for a few minutes before wiping off excess with a damp cloth.

After the cleaning solution is wiped away, allow suede to air dry completely before using again. This will ensure the best results and will help keep your suede item looking its best!
