Steps for Removing Gravy Stains
- Blot up any excess gravy with a clean cotton cloth. Do not rub, as this can spread the stain further.
- Mix 1 teaspoon of dish soap with 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and one cup of warm water.
- Soak a clean cotton cloth in the mixture and blot the stained area. Let the solution sit on the fabric for about 15 minutes.
- Rinse the fabric with cold water.
- If the stain is still there, apply a pre-treating solution or laundry detergent directly to the spot.
- Let the pre-treater or detergent sit for about 10 minutes, then rinse with cold water.
- Repeat the process until the gravy stain is gone.
- After the stain is gone, launder the garment in the washing machine according to the care label instructions.
