The first step to take is to assess the severity of the stain. If it is fresh, you can try removing the stain quickly by rinsing it with lukewarm water. This may take some time, so be patient and use a cloth to work the water into the fabric.
For older or more stubborn stains, you will need to mix a solution using dish soap and white vinegar. Mix these two ingredients together in a bowl before applying mixture onto the stained area. The vinegar helps to break down and soften stain, while the dish soap works as a mild cleaner. Use a clean cloth to work the mixture into the fabric of the shoe. Then, rinse with lukewarm water.
If your Skechers are made from suede or nubuck, you may need to use a specialty cleaning product for those specific fabrics. Look for a product that is specifically meant for cleaning suede and nubuck. Then, follow directions on the product's label to apply it to the stain.
Once the stain has been removed, allow shoes to air dry thoroughly before wearing them. You may also choose to apply a waterproof spray to protect shoes from future stains.
