- Salt

- The first step is to gently blot up as much liquid from the stain as possible with a dry, absorbent cloth.
- Mix a solution of six gallons of warm water and three tablespoons of mild detergent in a large basin and stir until fully incorporated.
- Submerge the stained fabric completely into water solution and leave to soak for fifteen minutes.
- Stir the solution every 5-10 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, take the fabric out of solution and rinse it thoroughly.
- Mix one tablespoon of salt into a quart of warm water in a spray bottle.
- Spray salt solution onto the stain and let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Mix one teaspoon of white vinegar into a gallon of warm water in the large basin.
- Place the fabric in vinegar solution and let it soak for another 15 minute.
- Remove the fabric from the solution and rinse thoroughly.
- Let the fabric air dry or machine dry on low heat.
