What You Need

  • Cold water
  • White vinegar
  • Laundry detergent
  • Cotton swab or soft brush

Instructions

  1. Flush the stain with cold water, using a spray bottle or gently running water from the faucet (be careful not to damage the lace). This will remove the majority of the stain.
  2. Mix a solution of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts cold water.
  3. Soak the stained area in the solution for 15 minutes.
  4. Mix a solution of 1 part laundry detergent and 1 part cold water.
  5. Apply a small amount to stain with a damp cloth or cotton swab.
  6. Gently scrub with a soft brush or cotton swab.
  7. Rinse with cold water.
  8. If needed, repeat steps 4 through 7.
  9. Air dry.

Additional Tips

  • Be careful when pre-treating delicate Rosepoint lace. Work very gently and don’t be too vigorous with your scrubbing.
  • Do not place lace in washing machine or dryer.
  • Do not use any bleach-based solutions on the lace.
