The sooner you can treat stain, the better. Grab an absorbent cloth or paper towel and start blotting; don’t scrub, as this could spread the stain. When blotting, press firmly but gently to draw as much of the stain out as possible.
Mix one tablespoon of dish soap with two cups of warm water. Make sure the soap is non-bleach and not too abrasive for fabric of your rash guard.
Apply your cleaning solution directly onto the gravy stain and let it soak in for 5-10 minutes. After the pre-treatment, fill a sink with cold water and let the rash guard sit in sink for up to 30 minutes to help remove any deep-seated residue.
Once your pre-treatment and soaking are complete, wash your rash guard in the washing machine with a gentle detergent. Once washed, dry it on a low setting in the dryer or hang it to air dry. Be sure to check that the stain is completely gone before you wear it again.
By following these simple steps, you’ll be able to get gravy stains out of your rash guard in no time! With a bit of effort, you’ll be back to wearing your clean rash guard in no time.
