Gravy is a delicious addition to mealtime, but unfortunately some of us are prone to spilling it on ourselves. If you’ve managed to get a stain on your polo shirt and don’t know how to get it out, don’t worry! Here we’ll explain the best way to get that gravy stain removed.

Steps to Removing a Gravy Stain from Your Polo Shirt

The first step is to act fast. The quicker you can attend to a stain, the easier it will be to remove. So, as soon as gravy has found its way onto your shirt, grab a cloth or a paper towel and press it against the spot to absorb any excess liquid.

Once the area has been blotted, rinse the portion of fabric under cold running water. Rubbing the stain will help to loosen it. Use a mild soap or laundry detergent, such as Woolite, to create suds and gently massage the suds into fabric. You may need to do this a few times before the stain is completely gone.

After scrubbing the suds in, rinse the garment and inspect the stain. If stain is still visible, repeat the previous steps. When you’re done, leave the garment to air dry. Do not put it in the dryer, as this will set the stain and make it even harder to remove.
