Step 1: Blot the Stain

Start by blotting as much of the gravy from the fabric as possible using a clean absorbent cloth or paper towel. Avoid rubbing the stain, as this can cause it to spread and make it harder to remove.

Step 2: Pretreat with Detergent

Mix a tablespoon of laundry detergent with two cups of warm water. Apply mixture to the stain and let it sit for ten minutes. Gently agitate fabric with your fingers or a soft brush, then rinse it with cool water.

Step 3: Launder as Usual

Wash the pajamas according to the instructions on the care label. For best results, use cold water and gentle cycle.

Step 4: Dry the Pajamas

Dry the pajamas in the dryer on low heat. Inspect the fabric after cycle is finished to make sure all the gravy has been removed.

Additional Tips

  • If the stain persists after laundering, repeat steps 2-4.
  • For tough stains, pretreat with a stain remover such as Spray 'n Wash.
  • After washing, add a scoop of distilled white vinegar to the rinse cycle to help keep colors bright.
