Step-by-Step Guide for Cleaning Gravy Stains from Merino

  1. Dab stained area with a damp cloth to remove excess gravy.
  2. Using a small amount of mild detergent, rub stained area together vigorously.
  3. Rinse off the detergent with cool water.
  4. If the stain remains, create a paste using a little bit of baking soda and water. Rub the paste into the stain with a damp washcloth, then rinse off the paste with cool water.
  5. To dry the garment, lay it flat on a towel and gently press stained area with another towel, repeated until the towel is mostly dry.

Tips for Removing Gravy Stains

  • The sooner you act, the better, as fresh stains are easier to remove.
  • Be sure to use lukewarm water only - hot water can set the stain.
  • If possible, avoid using a washing machine, as agitation may cause the stain to spread.
  • To be extra cautious, test the detergent on an inconspicuous area of the Merino garment before applying it to the stain.
