The first step in removing gravy stains is to soak the affected area with cool water for about 15 minutes. This will help break down the stain which makes it easier to remove. Be sure to use cool water, as hot water could set the stain.
After the stain has been soaking for a few minutes, apply a few drops of mild detergent to the area. Gently rub the detergent into the stain with your fingers or a soft cloth. Let the detergent sit for a few minutes before rinsing with cool water.
If the detergent isn't effective, try making a paste of baking soda and water and applying it to the stain. Let the paste sit for about 10 minutes then rinse with cool water. Repeat this process until the stain is gone.
If baking soda paste doesn't work, try creating a vinegar solution by mixing one part vinegar and one part water. Dip a clean cloth in the solution and use it to dab at the stain. Be sure to rinse off the vinegar solution immediately after as it can damage the fabric of your mask.
If all else fails, you can try using rubbing alcohol to get rid of the stain. Dip a clean cloth in rubbing alcohol and dab at the stain until it is gone. Be sure to rinse off the rubbing alcohol immediately after as it can also damage the fabric of your mask.
Once stain is gone, be sure to air-dry your mask instead of putting it in dryer. The heat from the dryer can set the stain and make it harder to remove next time around.
Gravy stains on masks don't have to be hard to remove. With a few simple steps, you can get rid of them quickly and easily. Just remember to soak the mask in cool water, use detergent, baking soda paste, or vinegar solution, and air-dry the mask when finished.
