Use a paper towel or clean cloth to carefully blot up as much of the excess gravy liquid as possible. Be sure to not rub the stain further into the fabric.
Apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly to the soiled spot and gently work it into the material. Then, leave it for 5-10 minutes before moving onto Step 3.
Using cold water, rinse the stained area and work the detergent suds until they are gone. This will help break up the stain and reduce the overall chances of the stain persisting.
Once the suds are gone, place loafer in the washing machine with an appropriate laundry detergent and wash on a gentle cycle in cold water. Be sure to wash only the soiled loafer to prevent discoloration of other items.
Once done washing, gently remove loafer from the drum and air dry away from direct heat or sunlight. This will help ensure that the shoes retain their original shape and colors while drying.
