Step 1: Gently Blot Stain

The first step in removing any kind of stain is to gently blot it with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel. Do not scrub or rub harshly, as this could spread the stain. This will absorb some of liquid and help loosen the stain.

Step 2: Apply a Gentle Detergent and Water

Next, mix a gentle detergent like dish soap with cold water. Using a soft-bristled brush, apply the mixture to stain. Gently rub the mixture into the stain in a circular motion. Make sure to rinse or change the brush often to ensure it remains effective in cleaning the stain.

Step 3: Pre-Treat the Stain

Before washing the garment, pre-treat the stain with a liquid laundry detergent specifically designed to remove grease or oil-based stains. Follow the instructions on detergent to apply it to the stain. Let the detergent sit for a few minutes before washing.

Step 4: Wash With Like Colors

Once you’ve pre-treated the stain, it’s time to wash your leggings. It’s best to wash them with like colors and using coldest water temperature that’s safe for the fabric. You can also try adding half a cup of white vinegar to the load to help further remove the stain.

Step 5: Dry on Low Heat

Once the cycle is complete, remove the leggings from the washer and place in the dryer on a low heat setting. The heat helps remove the remaining stain, so it’s essential to follow this step. Once finished drying, check to make sure the stain has been completely removed and enjoy your stain-free leggings!
