Accidentally spilling gravy on your joggers is an annoyance, but don't throw them away just yet! Thankfully, it’s relatively easy to get gravy stains out of your favourite joggers. You can try one of the below mentioned techniques to remove the stain without damaging the fabric.

Step 1: Pre-Treat the Stain with Detergent

Mix a tablespoon of detergent or liquid laundry soap with two cups of cold water. Dab the pre-treatment mixture onto the gravy stain, and let it sit for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, rinse the area with cold water.

Step 2: Wash Joggers in the Washing Machine

Once pre-treatment mixture has been rinsed off, turn joggers inside-out. Set the washing machine to a cold wash setting and add a small amount of detergent. Choose a gentle cycle if you can, and avoid using bleach or fabric softener. Let joggers air dry afterwards.

Step 3: Use a Stain Remover Spray

If the gravy stain remains after the cold wash, use a stain remover spray specifically designed to tackle greasy stains. Spray the stain and let it sit for around five minutes. Don’t rub the stain remover directly onto the fabric. Rinse the area afterwards with cold water.

Step 4: Apply Baking Soda

If the stain remover spray fails to do the job, apply a thick paste of baking soda and water to the affected area. Let it sit for 30 minutes before rinsing it off and letting your joggers air dry.
