What You'll Need
- White vinegar
- Borax
- Dish soap
- Cold water
- Hydrogen peroxide
Instructions
- Start by gently scraping off the excess gravy from the fabric. Be careful not to rub it in more.
- Soak the stained area in cold water. Make sure the water is cold, as hot water may cause stain to set.
- Mix one teaspoon of dish soap in two cups of cold water and pour into a spray bottle. Spray the stain with the mixture and allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Mix two tablespoons of white vinegar and one tablespoon of Borax in two cups of cold water. Apply this cleaning solution on the stain and wait for five minutes before washing off.
- It's time to check how much of the stain has been removed. If it still persists, mix one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide in two cups of cold water. Apply the solution on the stain and allow it to work its magic for 10 minutes. Then rinse the garment with cold water.
- Finally, launder the garment according to the instructions on the care label.
Tips and Warnings
- Always test a small hidden area of fabric for colorfastness before applying any cleaning solutions.
- Do not rub the stain, as this may cause it to spread further.
- If the stain persists after following the above steps, it is best to take the item to a professional dry cleaner.
