Using cool or cold water, rinse the gravy stain using a sponge or cloth. Do not rub the stain too hard as this can cause it to spread and become more difficult to remove. When rinsing, use the same motion over the stain to avoid spreading it around.
Using an enzyme-based pre-treatment, like a laundry detergent, pretreat the stain by letting product sit on top of stain for 15 minutes before washing. You can also apply a mixture of baking soda and water. Make sure to use a gentle scrubbing motion when applying the pre-treatment to avoid rubbing in the stain further.
After pretreating the stain, place the hoodie in the washing machine. Use the hottest water setting that is safe for the fabric and add your regular laundry detergent. If possible, hang dry the hoodie, since a dryer can sometimes set in the stain. If the stain persists, repeat steps one and two until the stain is gone.
Getting rid of a gravy stain from a hoodie doesn't have to be a difficult process. By following these simple steps, you can get your hoodie looking as good as new. Good luck!
