Materials Required for Cleaning Grease and Gravy Stains
- Dish soap
- Stain remover
- Soft cloth
- Distilled white vinegar
- Baking soda
Instructions
- Lift the spillage with a soft cloth. If it’s still wet, blot out as much excess liquid as possible. Do not try to scrub it off.
- Mix one tablespoon of dish soap and one tablespoon of white distilled vinegar in a cup of warm water.
- Take a soft damp cloth and dab the solution onto the stained area, lightly rubbing in a circular motion.
- Dab the area again with a clean, wet cloth to rinse it clean.
- Take a few drops of a stain remover and gently rub it into the stained area.
- If stain isn’t completely gone, mix ¼ teaspoon of baking soda and ½ cup of warm water in a bowl and dip a clean sponge into the solution. Blot it onto stained area and let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Rinse the area with a clean, damp cloth. If the stain persists, repeat the process until it is completely gone.
Additional Tips
- Always test the cleaning solutions on a small, inconspicuous area of the bag first.
- Never scrub or rub too hard, as this could damage the fabric.
- If you’re not sure what kind of fabric your bag is made of, read label or consult a professional cleaner.
