For this method, you’ll need some regular laundry detergent and a sunny spot. First, apply a generous amount of detergent directly onto the stain and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Then, rub the area until the stain is gone. Lastly, take your hair tie outside and lay it on the sun. This will help bleach out any lingering stains. You may even want to leave it out for an hour or so just to be sure.
Baking soda and water can make a powerful paste that will loosen up stain and make it easier to remove. All you need to do is mix equal parts baking soda and water together until it forms a paste. Spread paste onto the stained area and let it sit for 15 minutes. After that, wipe off the paste and use a cloth to gently scrub the stain away. You may need to repeat this a few times for stubborn stains.
Vinegar and fabric softener are two ingredients that will quickly take care of gravy stains. Mix equal parts fabric softener and white vinegar together. Dip a cloth into mixture and rub it into the stain. After that, rinse garment with cold water and repeat until the stain is completely gone.
