What You'll Need

  • White vinegar
  • Liquid dish detergent
  • Baking soda
  • Laundry detergent

Step 1: Carefully Remove Any Excess Gravy

The first step in removing gravy stains is to get rid of any excess gravy. Do this by gently using a spoon or knife to scoop away as much as possible. Be careful not to rub, as this may push the gravy further into the glove.

Step 2: Make a Cleaning Solution

Once you’ve removed the excess gravy, it’s time to make a cleaning solution. Mix together 1/4 cup of white vinegar, 1 tablespoon of liquid dish detergent, and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in a bowl filled with lukewarm water. Submerge the stained area of gloves in the mixture for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3: Wash the Gloves

Next, remove the gloves from the cleaning solution and squeeze out any excess liquid. Place them in a washing machine along with regular laundry detergent. Run a cold water cycle on the gentle setting and then hang the gloves up to air dry. Once dry, check to see if the stain is gone, if not, repeat steps 2-3 until the stain is completely removed.
