Dashikis are becoming increasingly popular for their vibrant colors and unique designs, but they require special care when cleaning because of their fabric makeup. Here's how to take care of any gravy stains on your Dashiki:

  • Mix together 1 tablespoon of liquid detergent and 2 cups of warm water.
  • Dip a white cloth into the mixture and dab gravy stain. Don't rub or scrub the stain.
  • Continue to dab until the gravy stain is removed. Change the cloth if necessary.
  • Using a clean cloth, sponge the area with cold water.
  • Let the spot air dry.
  • If there is still some residue left behind, mix 1 cup of white vinegar with 2 cups of warm water and sponge the stain again.
  • Let Dashiki air dry.

By following these steps, you can effectively remove gravity stains from a Dashiki without damaging the fabric. However, it is important to note that process may need to be repeated if stain is particularly stubborn.

Removing gravy stains from a Dashiki doesn’t have to be a daunting task — using correct technique and materials, you can keep your Dashiki looking bright and vibrant for years to come!
