Cornelli lace is an elegant fabric used in garments, linens and decorations. It features intricate patterns that make it eye-catching. Unfortunately, Gravy and other greasy foods can cause permanent stains on this fabric if not cleaned right away.

What You'll Need

  • Clean cloths
  • Dish soap or laundry detergent
  • Bucket
  • White vinegar

Step 1: Blot the Stain

Take a clean cloth and blot the excess gravy from fabric. Avoid rubbing the stained area, as this will only help spread the stain further. Keep blotting until no more liquid is transferred onto the cloth.

Step 2: Pre-Treat with Soap

Mix a solution of warm water and dish soap or laundry detergent in a bucket. Make sure the solution is not too hot, as this can damage the fabric. Dip a clean cloth in the soapy solution and dab it against the stain. Do not rub vigorously, as this could cause the fabric to fray and weaken.

Step 3: Rinse with Cold Water

Rinse the stained area with cold water. If any stain remains, repeat steps 2 and 3. Once the stain is gone, rinse again with cold water to remove any soap residue.

Step 4: Add White Vinegar

If the stain persists, add one cup of white vinegar to the soapy solution and repeat steps 2 and 3. The vinegar should help break down the remaining stain.

Step 5: Dry and Enjoy!

Once the stain is gone, hang the garment up or lay it flat to air dry. After it is dry, you can enjoy your newly clean Cornelli lace item!
