What You Need

  • Cold Water
  • Liquid Detergent
  • White Towel or Rag

Step 1: Blot Stain Immediately

As soon as the gravy spill occurs, use white towel to blot the stain with cold water and liquid detergent. Be sure to occasionally rinse the towel with cold water before reapplying it to stain.

Step 2: Soak the Stain with Detergent and Cold Water

Once you have finished blotting, leave the coat to soak in a bowl of cold water with a few drops of liquid detergent for at least an hour. This will help to lift the stain from the fabric, making it easier to remove.

Step 3: Rinse and Dry Coat

After the coat has been left to soak, rinse the area with cold water and lay it flat to dry. Once the coat is completely dry, inspect the area to ensure that the stain has been removed.
