Immediately after the stain has been left on your chico clothing, rinse it with cold water in the sink. This will remove as much of gravy as possible before it sets. If the water runs clear, move onto step 2. If not, continue rinsing with cold water until the water runs clear.
Mix one part liquid laundry detergent with three parts cold water in a small bowl. Dip a soft cloth into the solution and gently scrub the stained area. Let the solution sit for a few minutes before rinsing it out with cold water.
If the stain is still there after pre-treating, launder the item as usual using cold water and regular detergent. Consider adding an oxygenated bleach to the wash cycle for extra cleaning power. Air dry or use the lowest heat setting on the dryer.
