What You'll Need
- Cold Water
- White Vinegar
- Baking Soda
- Small Bowl
- Washcloth
Instructions
- Mix one tablespoon white vinegar with one cup cold water in a small bowl.
- Dip a washcloth into the mixture and gently dab the stained area. Do not scrub as this may cause the stain to spread.
- Rinse the area with cold water and then sprinkle baking soda onto it. Let the baking soda sit for several minutes to absorb the gravy.
- Using a damp washcloth, gently scrub the baking soda off the cardigan.
- If the stain remains, repeat steps two through four.

- It is important to use cold water when removing gravy stains, as hot water can cause the stain to set in further.
