When you first notice the gravy stain, it's important not to rub or scrub it. Instead, gently blot the spill and absorb as much of liquid as possible.
Now that you've blotted up the excess gravy, it's time to pre-treat stain. In a small bowl, mix together equal parts white vinegar and water. Dip a clean cloth into the solution and then gently dab at the stain.
Once the stain has been pre-treated, you can wash the item as normal with regular detergent. Aim for a gentle cycle and choose a low heat setting if possible. Then, remove the item from the machine as soon as it's finished and hang it directly onto a clothesline.
Finally, expose the item to direct sunlight. This will help to fade the stain and keep the colors from fading as well. Once the item is dry, it should be free of any gravy stains.
