Removing Fresh Gravy Stains

If you catch the gravy stain as soon as possible, then you’ll have a much better chance of removing it from your Burberry clothes. Take a clean cloth and, using cold or lukewarm water, blot at the area to remove as much of the excess gravy as possible. Once the area is dry, turn the garment inside out and sprinkle some baking soda over the stain. This will help absorb any remaining grease. Let the garment sit for 15-20 minutes, then brush off the baking soda and launder as usual.

Removing Old Gravy Stains

If you find an old gravy stain on your Burberry clothing, it will take a little extra effort to remove. Begin by blotting the area with a clean cloth to remove as much grease as you can. Next, mix together equal parts liquid detergent and white vinegar. Using a cloth or sponge, apply the mixture to the stain and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Finally, use cold water to rinse away any remaining detergent and vinegar solution. You should now be able to launder the garment as usual.

Preventing Future Stains

The best way to avoid future gravy stains is to keep Burberry clothing away from areas where there may be spills. If you’re having a dinner party, make sure to cover your Burberry garments with a napkin or other protective covering.
