How To Easily Clean Gravy Stains From Brocade
Getting gravy stains out of your favorite brocade piece can be daunting to attempt. To remove the stain and restore your fabric to its original state, follow the steps below.

What You’ll Need
- Clean cloth
- Dry-cleaning solvent
- Oxygen or chlorine bleach
- Water
- Laundry detergent
Instructions
- Use a clean cloth to soak up as much of the gravy as you can.
- Test a small area of fabric with dry-cleaning solvent to make sure it won't discolor it.
- Soak a clean rag in dry-cleaning solvent and lay it over the stain.
- Let the solvent soak into the stain for 10 minutes.
- Blot area with a clean cloth to help lift the stain.
- Mix a solution of 1 teaspoon of oxygen or chlorine bleach with 1 quart of cold water.
- Dab the stain with the bleach solution.
- Rinse with cold water.
- Apply a small amount of laundry detergent directly on the stain.
- Rub the detergent gently onto the fabric.
- Rinse with cold water.
- Allow the fabric to air dry completely.
