What You Need

  • Dish soap
  • White vinegar
  • Soft cloth or rag
  • Old toothbrush

Instructions

  1. Mix dish soap and water in a small bowl, stirring until combined.
  2. Using a soft cloth or rag, sponge the soapy solution onto the stained area.
  3. In a separate container, mix equal parts white vinegar and water.
  4. Soak an old toothbrush in vinegar solution and gently scrub the stained area.
  5. Rinse the area with clean water and allow it to air dry.

Tips

  • Do a patch test first on an inconspicuous area of the boot or shoe to check for any discoloration.
  • Treat stain as soon as possible – stains that are left to dry are much harder to remove.
  • If stain still persists after the above steps, try using a stain remover.
