Step 1: Gather Your Supplies

You’ll need a few standard cleaning supplies to get the job done. Gather some kitchen paper towels, a cup or bowl of warm water, mild liquid detergent, and a soft-bristled toothbrush.

Step 2: Start By Blotting

Start by gently blotting the stain with kitchen paper towels. Be sure not to rub the stain, as this could make it worse. Just blot the area to absorb any excess gravy left on the barrette.

Step 3: Soak in Warm, Soapy Water

Once you’ve blotted the excess gravy, fill a cup or bowl with warm water and add a drop of mild liquid detergent. Soak the barrette in the mixture for 10-15 minutes.

Step 4: Scrub Stain

After the barrette has soaked, grab your soft-bristled toothbrush and gently scrub the stain. Be sure to move brush in a circular motion to ensure you get into crevices and remove all the gravy residue.

Step 5: Rinse and Dry

Once you’re finished scrubbing the stain, rinse barrette off with warm water and let it air dry. If necessary, you can also use a blowdryer on cool setting to help speed up the drying process.

And there you have it, five simple steps to get those gravy stains out of your barrettes!
