Before tackling the stain, always remove any excess gravy from the baking dish. Use a paper towel or plastic wrap to absorb as much of gravy as possible. You don’t want to add water to large amounts of gravy as this will make the stain more difficult to remove.
Once the excess gravy is removed, fill the baking dish with hot water and a teaspoon of liquid dish soap. Let soak for 10 minutes and use a dish brush to scrub away the remaining stain. A wooden spoon or spatula may come in handy as well. If stain persists, add a small amount of white vinegar and baking soda to the mixture to form a paste. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes before scrubbing off the stain.
If the stain is still present, try mixing 1/4 cup of bleach with 1 gallon of water. Dip a rag into the mixture and dab at the stain until it is removed. Be sure to rinse area with clean water before drying the baking dish completely.
Finally, if all else fails, try a commercial stain remover such as OxiClean. These products are designed to safely remove tough stains and can help you get your baking dish looking like new again.
