Step 1: Act Quickly
The first and most important step to removing grass stains from your workwear is to act as quickly as possible after the stain appears. The sooner you treat grass stain, the better your chances of getting it out.
Step 2: Use a Stain Remover
Grab a quality stain remover that is designed for fabrics like cotton or polyester. Read the instructions on the bottle and follow them closely, as some might require you to pretreat the area and then wash the garment. If so, apply the stain remover to the grass-stained area and let it sit before you put the garment in the washing machine.
Step 3: Pre-rinse Your Garment
Run your workwear under cool water to help loosen up the grass stain before washing it in machine.
Step 4: Wash the Garment
Select a gentle cycle in the washing machine and opt for a mild detergent. Don't use bleach or fabric softener, as these can actually set the stain.
Step 5: Check for Success
Once the cycle is finished, check the garment to make sure the grass stain is gone. If not, let the workwear air dry and repeat the process until the stain is removed.
