What You'll Need

  • Clean cloth or towel
  • Mild washing powder detergent
  • Spot cleaning sponge
  • Liquid laundry detergent

Step 1: Pre-Treat with Detergent

Before you start, ensure the stain is still wet. If necessary, dampen it with a bit of water. Now, take a teaspoon of mild washing powder detergent, mix it with same amount of water, and apply it directly to the stain with a clean cloth or towel. Let it sit for about 5 minutes.

Step 2: Scrub with Spot Cleaning Sponge

Once the 5 minutes is up, take your spot cleaning sponge and gently scrub the stain in circular motions. When you're done, rinse the item in cold water and then inspect it to check if stain is gone.

Step 3: Was with Liquid Laundry Detergent

If the stain is still visible, put a teaspoon of liquid laundry detergent into a basin of cold water and soak the item for a few hours. Then, put it into the washing machine with other light-colored items and wash them together on a delicate cycle.

Step 4: Hang to Dry

Once the washing cycle is complete, hang your underwear up to dry naturally. Do not put them in the dryer; this could set stain, making it almost impossible to remove.

Conclusion

With some patience and right cleaning supplies, you can easily get rid of grass stains from your underwear. Follow these instructions and you'll have your whites looking as good as new in no time!
