What Kind of Supplies Do I Need?

Before tackling grass stains, it’s important to gather the supplies necessary—so you don’t need to run back and forth to the store mid-project. Below is a list of the supplies you should have before getting started.

  • A bucket
  • A laundry detergent that contains enzymes, such as Tide or OxiClean
  • White vinegar
  • A sponge or brush
  • A few clean washcloths

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Fill the bucket with warm water.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon of laundry detergent that contains enzymes and 1/4 cup of white vinegar to bucket.
  3. Stir the solution until detergent has dissolved into the water.
  4. Dampen a washcloth in the solution and dab it on the grass stains. Do not rub it.
  5. Use the sponge or brush to scrub the stained area gently.
  6. Rinse the fabric in cold water.
  7. If the stain remains, repeat the steps above until the stain is gone.
  8. Air dry the fabric.
