The first step to take when removing a grass stain is to blot the stain. Use a dry, clean cloth, towel, or sponge and press firmly against stained area. This will help lift away some of the stain and reduce its intensity so it’s easier to get rid of in the following steps.
Now that you have blotted away some of the stain, it’s time to treat the affected area with a stain remover solution. There are many commercial stain removers available, or you can make your own with a few simple ingredients. For example, mix equal parts liquid dish soap and white vinegar, then apply it directly to the grass stained area.
Once the stain remover fluid has settled in, run cold water through the back of tunic to rinse it away. This will help further lift away any stubborn residue still clinging to the fabric.
Now it’s time to put the tunic through a full washing cycle. Set your washing machine to the gentle cycle and select cold water. Add a mild detergent and let cycle finish. Then, hang your tunic or lay it out flat to air dry.
