Grass stains

If you’re dealing with stubborn grass stains on your trench coat, there are a few different methods you can try. To start, you’ll want to fill a bucket or sink with cold water and add a few drops of mild liquid detergent. Then, let the stained area soak for 30 minutes before blotting the area with a clean cloth. For tougher spots, you can use a small brush or toothbrush to gently scrub the stain.

Once the stain has been removed, rinse the area with cold water and let it air-dry. You may also want to add fabric softener or a mild laundry detergent to the rinse water to prevent the color from fading.

If none of these methods seem to work, try an enzymatic cleaner such as Zout or OxyClean, which are designed especially to tackle set-in stains. Simply follow the instructions on the package, and remember to test the product on a small area of garment first.

No matter the fabric, it’s always best to treat stains right away and to avoid using hot water or putting the garment in the dryer until the stain has been completely removed. With a little bit of effort, you’ll be able to keep your trench coat looking like new!
