Grass stains

Grass stains can be a headache, but they don't have to be! Start by brushing off any excess dirt from the stain. Then bring together 1/4 cup white vinegar, 2 tablespoons baking soda, 1/2 cup warm water, and 1/4 cup salt. Stir until the baking soda is completely dissolved.

Once you have your mixture made, dampen a sponge or towel with it and apply to the stain. Rub gently in circular motions for about 10 minutes and then rinse with cold water. Keep doing this until grass stain has faded. If you'd like, you can also use a light rubbing alcohol and rub it over the stain. If neither method works, you can also try using a laundry pre-treatment product.

Let the stain sit for at least 30 minutes before washing to let the product really do its job. Then, when you go to wash the tights, use the hottest water recommended on the care label and add color-safe bleach — if needed — to boost the power of your detergent. Finally, double check to make sure the stain is gone after drying.

Grass stains don't have to be a dreaded task! With some patience and these easy steps, you can get rid of them quickly and easily.
