Grass stains

Step 1: Pre-Treat with Detergent

Mix a few drops of liquid dish detergent with some cold water to create a solution. Dip a cloth into the solution and use it to gently but thoroughly scrub the area of your taffeta that’s stained with grass. This will help loosen the stain and prepare it for more intense cleaning.

Step 2: Apply a Stain Remover

Spray the stained area of taffeta with an all-purpose stain remover. Allow the product to sit for at least 1-2 minutes before proceeding to the next step.

Step 3: Rinse with Cold Water

Rinse stained area of taffeta with cold water. This will remove the stain remover and any loosened grass stains.

Step 4: Wash by Hand

In a basin of cold water, mix in 2 teaspoons of a fabric-safe detergent. Gently swish the taffeta in the mixture. Do not rub or scrub stain, as this could cause further damage to the fabric. Once you’ve lightly swished the taffeta in the basin, transfer it to a second basin filled with clean, cold water.

Step 5: Hang Dry

After rinsing the taffeta in the clean, cold water basin, remove it from the water and hang it up to air dry. Do not place it in dryer, as heat can cause the stain to become set in the fabric.

Conclusion

Removing grass stains from taffeta is no longer a daunting task. With just five simple steps, you can easily restore your taffeta to its former glory!
