Grass stains

Start by scraping as much of the dried-on grass off as possible. Then proceed to dampen stain with a cleaning agent such as white vinegar or rubbing alcohol. Let the stain soak for five minutes, and then work it into the fabric using a soft brush. Don't use harsh bristles, since this could damage the spandex fibers.

If the stain is still present, try soaking the pants overnight in cold water with a few teaspoons of mild laundry detergent. You can also add a teaspoon of tea tree oil for extra stain-fighting power. In the morning, rinse away the detergent and inspect the spandex for any remaining traces of grass.

Now is the time to spot treat the area with an enzyme-based cleaner. Work it through fabric with an old toothbrush, let it sit for a few minutes, and then rinse with cold water. Do not use hot or warm water, or you risk damaging spandex material.

As a final step, hang pants up to dry and check again for any remaining stain traces. If the stain persists, repeat above steps one more time and try using a different type of enzyme-based cleaner.

With a little elbow grease and the right products, you can make grass stains disappear from spandex clothing in no time!
