Have the kids been running wild and playing on the grass? Have you been out in the garden and woke up with grass stains all over your favorite jammies? Luckily, these types of stains can be easily cleaned off with a few simple steps. Here's what to do:
To pre-treat the grass stain, start by mixing together a teaspoon of laundry detergent with a cup of warm water. Dip a white cloth into this mixture, and then dab it onto the stain. Make sure not to rub or scrub too hard, as this can push the stain deeper into the fabric.
After treating the stain, fill a sink or basin with warm water and add a teaspoon of laundry detergent to the water. Next, submerge the sleepwear into the water and let it soak for 30 minutes.
Once the sleepwear has finished soaking, take it out of the water and rinse it off until no suds remain. Make sure to check your garment for any remaining grass stains before moving to the next step.
If the stain is still present, put the garment in the washing machine with a regular load of laundry. Use the hottest water setting that is safe for the fabric type, along with your usual detergent. If the stain is still there, try repeating the process.
With these four simple steps, you can easily get rid of pesky grass stains on your sleepwear.
