First and foremost, you’ll need to pre-treat the stain before washing it. To do this, mix equal parts white vinegar and cool water and soak area for 15 minutes. Afterward, blot the area with a dry cloth to help the stain come off more easily.
There are several laundry stain removers available on market; these may range from soap bars to sprays. Make sure to read the label and apply the product directly on the stained area with a damp cloth.
Afterwards, double-check stain before laundering skirt in cold water, as hot water can set the stain. Be sure to use a mild detergent and avoid any harsh bleaches or other chemicals.
Once the cycle is complete, air dry the garment to prevent setting the stain. Avoid placing the skirt on a drying rack or clothes line outside, as sun exposure can exacerbate staining. Once dry, check the area for any remaining grass stains and repeat the cleaning process, if necessary.
