Start by treating stained area with detergent. Work it into the fabric using a soft brush or cloth. Allow the detergent to sit for at least 30 minutes before washing.
Wash skirt according to the manufacturer's instructions. Usually this means cold or warm water and gentle detergent. Don't use bleach or hot water, as this will set the stain.
Check the stained area for any remnants of the grass stain. If there are still traces of stain, repeat steps one and two.
If there are still traces of the stain after washing, you can spot treat the area with a solution of equal parts white vinegar and water. Apply this solution to spot with a cloth or soft brush and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Then, wash the skirt again according to the instructions above.
Dry the skirt either in the dryer or air dry it. Inspect the skirt for any remaining traces of the grass stain.
