Instructions

  1. Check the care label of your garment to make sure cleaning with the steps below is OK.
  2. Blot excess grass with a paper towel.
  3. Mix 1 teaspoon of liquid detergent or stain remover with 1 cup of warm water. You can also try a mix of 1 part white vinegar and 2 parts cold water.
  4. Dip an old toothbrush into the solution and apply gently to stained area.
  5. If stain persists, use the same solution but add a little hydrogen peroxide.
  6. Rinse the affected area in cold water. Rinse until all residue of detergent or vinegar is gone.
  7. Gently wring the garment and lay flat on a dry towel to air dry.
  8. Repeat the process, if needed.

  • Always hand wash tussah silk garments using cold water.
  • Avoid placing clothes with grass stains directly in the washing machine.
  • Never rub the area with the grass stain as this could cause discoloration or damage the fabric.
  • Avoid chlorine bleach when treating grass stains on tussah silk.
