Grass stains

No one wants to have to deal with a grass stain on their scarf, but these types of fabrics are prone to picking up dirt and grime over time. If you find yourself with a grass stain on your scarf, don’t worry- it’s not the end of your beloved accessory. Instead, take these simple steps to get rid of the stain as quickly and easily as possible.

Step 1: Scrape off Excess Dirt

The first thing you should do is to scrape off any excess dirt or debris that may still be adhered to the fabric. This can be done with a dull knife or spoon – just be careful not to damage the fabric in the process. Once excess has been removed, you’re ready to move onto next step.

Step 2: Pre-Treat The Stain

Then, you’ll need to pre-treat the stain with a solution of one part dishwashing detergent and two parts water. Apply the solution directly to the stain, then rub it in gently using a soft cloth or sponge. Let the solution work its magic for about 20 minutes before moving onto next step.

Step 3: Launder as Normal

Once the pre-treatment is done, launder the scarf as you normally would. If stain is still present after laundering, you may want to repeat the pre-treatment and laundering steps until the stain has been completely removed.
