What You'll Need
- Laundry detergent
- White vinegar
- Stain pre-treatment or spot cleaner
- Toothbrush (optional)
- Hydrogen peroxide (optional)
- Baking soda (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by soaking stained area in cold water. This helps to loosen up the stain and make it easier to remove.
- Mix together a solution of laundry detergent and warm water. Gently scrub the stained area with the solution, ensuring you are not scrubbing too hard that could accidentally damage the fabric.
- If there is still some residue after scrubbing, make a paste out of baking soda and white vinegar. You can also use a small amount of hydrogen peroxide for stubborn residues. Rub the paste onto the stained area with a toothbrush. Allow it to soak for five minutes before rinsing it off.
- For an added boost, spot treat the area with a commercial stain remover. Follow the instructions on the packaging and make sure the product is safe for delicate fabrics like sarong.
- Finally, launder the sarong as normal.
