What You’ll Need:
- Water
- Gentle laundry detergent
- White vinegar
- Stain brush
- Washing machine
Step-By-Step Instructions:
- Start by rinsing off the grass stain with cold water. Using a stain brush or your fingernail, gently rub the stain until it starts to lighten.
- Mix a solution of one-part gentle laundry detergent and one-part white vinegar. Saturate the stained area with solution, and rub it in gently to create a lather.
- Let solution sit for about 15 minutes, then rinse it off with cold water.
- Inspect the area for any remaining grass stains. If you still see signs of the stain, mix another solution and repeat steps 2 and 3.
- When the grass stain is gone, put garment in the washing machine with a gentle detergent. Run the cycle using cold water.
- Hang garment up to dry. Do not dry it in the dryer, or you risk setting the stain.
Tips:
- Always use cold water when dealing with rayon. Hot water can cause fabric to shrink and the stain to set.
- Be sure to let the garment dry completely before storing it away. Moisture can cause mildew to form, which will make the stain worse.
