Grass stains

We've all been there. You're walking through the park and you feel something wet on bottom of your shoe. Checking it out, you come to the dreaded realization that your pristine pumps are stained with grass. But don't worry, you can still save them! With the right tools and cleaning methods, you can remove those ugly grass stains and have your pumps looking brand new in no time.

What You'll Need

  • Mild laundry detergent
  • White vinegar or rubbing alcohol
  • Soft cloths
  • Towels

Steps to Remove Grass Stains

  1. Mix 1 teaspoon of mild laundry detergent with ¼ cup of lukewarm water.
  2. Using a soft cloth, dab the mixture onto the stained area on your pump.
  3. Work the mixture into the stain in a circular motion to loosen it.
  4. Once the stain is loosened, blot the area with a dry towel to absorb moisture.
  5. If the stain is still not completely removed, dip a cloth in white vinegar or rubbing alcohol, and pat the stain with it until it's gone.
  6. Allow the area to dry, and voila! Your pumps should now be grass-stain free.

Tips and Warnings

  • Do make sure you use a mild detergent to avoid damaging your pumps.
  • Don't let the stain sit for too long, as this will make it harder to get out.
  • Do allow the area to thoroughly dry before wearing pumps again.
  • Don't rub the stain too hard, as this could cause the fabric to tear.
