First things first, you need to get rid of any excess grass. The longer it stays, harder it will be to remove the stain. Use a soft-bristled brush to gently brush away the dirt and grass from the stained area.
Pour some mild laundry detergent into a bowl and mix it with warm water. Test the mixture on an inconspicuous area of fabric to make sure there is no discoloration. Then, dip a clean cloth in the solution and blot the stained area.
Next, you'll want to launder the fabric as usual, either by machine or handwashing. Check the fabric's care label before washing to determine the best cycle and temperature. If the grass stain is still visible after laundering, repeat steps 1-3.
Once you've washed and dried the fabric, check to see if the grass stain has disappeared. If it's still there, it's time to use a stronger solution. Make a paste of laundry detergent and hydrogen peroxide, then apply it to the stain and allow it to sit for 15 minutes. Launder and air dry the fabric once again and the grass stain should be eliminated.
