Grass stains

Grass stains on our clothing can be an annoying sight, but with right approach you can easily get rid of them. For stubborn grass stains on parkas, start by pretreating the stain with a pre-wash stain remover. To activate the stain remover, let the garment soak in hot water for at least 15 minutes. Then wash the item according to the instructions on the tag.

If the grass stain remains, you can try spot-treating it with a diluted solution of dishwashing liquid and white vinegar. Put a few drops of mixture on stain and let it sit for 10 minutes before washing. If that doesn’t work, you can try using a commercial grass stain remover. Follow the directions carefully, as some of these products may cause bleaching or color loss.

Once the grass stain is gone, be sure to check inside the parka for any remaining residue. If needed, use your pre-wash stain remover and launder the garment again. After laundering, allow the parka to air dry before putting it away.

With the right cleaning supplies and a bit of determination, grass stains don’t have to stand in the way of a great outdoor adventure!
