Grass stains

Before getting started on removing stain, the first step is to carefully inspect your oxford shoe for any other dirt or debris that could be stuck to stain. Be sure to gently brush away any other particles. Once you’ve checked your shoes and brushed off any other dirt, you can move onto the cleaning process.

Method 1: Soap & Water Wash

Run your oxford shoes under lukewarm water and start dabbing the grass stain with a damp cloth soaked in cold water. Take a mild laundry detergent and create a small lather on the cloth to make a soapy solution. Gently rub soapy solution into the stained area until you start to see stain fading. Rinse the cloth and repeat the process until the stain is gone.

Method 2: Rubbing Alcohol

This method is particularly useful for treating grass stains on leather oxford. Take a small piece of cloth and dampen it with rubbing alcohol. Rub cloth over stained area until the stain has disappeared. Once finished, rinse the oxford with cold water and let them air-dry.

Method 3: White Vinegar

If above two methods don’t work, try white vinegar. Take a small bowl of undiluted white vinegar and use a soft cloth soaked in the vinegar solution to work the stain. Once stain has been treated, rinse the oxford with cold water and allow them to air-dry.

With these three simple methods, you can easily remove grass stains from your oxford shoes. Be sure to test each method on an inconspicuous area of the shoe first, to ensure no discoloration occurs.
